Dengue - Dengvaxia requires diagnostic tests, and QDENGA® is authorized in various countries in 2024. Southern Florida, Cancun, and Puerto Rico reported locally acquired and travel-related dengue cases in 2024.

Ebola - Vaccines and therapies are approved to prevent and treat Zaire Ebolavirus infections in Africa.

Hajj and Umrah - Several vaccinations are required to obtain an entry visa in 2024.

Influenza - The current flu season in the Northern Hemisphere began in October 2024. Nine different flu shots are available at various pharmacies.

Malaria - Both Mosquirix (RTSS/AS01) and R21/Matrix-M™ vaccines are offered in African countries but not the U.S. in 2024.

Measles - Proquad, Priorix, and MMR-II are available. Measles outbreaks have been confirmed in Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America.

Mpox - Austin Public Health supports U.S. FDA-approved JYNNEOS vaccine and TPOXX treatment.

Norovirus Vaccine - As of 2024, there are no approved norovirus vaccines.

Polio - Imovax Polio® is available for adults considering a one-time booster before visiting polio outbreak countries (Africa, England, and Israel). Over 1 billion nOPV2 polio vaccines have been offered in Africa.

Rabies - Various rabies vaccines can prevent infections before exposure to the rabies virus.

Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever - Is endemic in multiple border states in northern Mexico, including but not exclusive to Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, and Nuevo León. As of 2024, there is no approved RMSF vaccine.

RotavirusRotarix vaccines are available in 2024.

Yellow Fever - The single-dose Yellow Fever YF-Vax vaccine is available in April 2024. The WHO and CDC updated yellow fever vaccination recommendations in 2024.

Tuberculosis - The U.S. FDA-approved Tice BCG vaccine is not widely available in Texas. However, it is often given to children where TB is endemic.

Typhoid - Vivotif, Typbar TCV vaccines.

Zika - Vaccine candidates remain in clinical trials. Zika virus infections continue in the Americas in 2024, including Brazil, Costa RicaPuerto Rico, and various countries such as India.
