COVID-19 Vaccinations Slow Down
Since the COVID-19 Vaccination Program began on Dec. 14, 2020, about 551 million vaccine doses have been administered in the United States.
As of Feb. 25, 2022, 64.9% of the total U.S. population has been fully vaccinated, says the U.S. CDC.
And 93.4 million additional and/or booster doses have been reported in people who have been fully vaccinated.
Unfortunately, the 7-day average number of administered vaccine doses reported per day was 425,810, a 17.6% decrease from the previous week.
Regarding who has been immunized, the CDC's COVID Data Tracker Vaccination Demographic Trends tab shows vaccination trends by age group and race/ethnicity.
Additionally, the U.S. NIH OpenData Portal compiled a database of various COVID-19 vaccine in vitro therapeutic activity against the evolving SARS-CoV-2 Omicron subvariants.
And the CDC's NowCast monitors these active variants in the U.S.
Note: As of Feb. 26, 2022, there are three COVID-19 vaccines in use in the U.S., and the WHO has Listed a total of ten vaccines.
