The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated its COVID Data Tracker on October 12, 2021, revealing a slowing rate of fully vaccinated people in the USA.

The CDC's dashboard indicates 187,714,829 (56.4%) people are fully vaccinated.

However, since October 1, 2021, the daily vaccination total has steadily decreased from 1,129,013 per day to 332,068 on October 9, 2021.

For surveillance purposes, the COVID Data Tracker counts people as being "fully vaccinated" if they received two doses on different days (regardless of time interval) of the two-dose mRNA series or received one dose of a single-dose vaccine.
