Donald Hackett

Don Hackett entered the news industry in 1967 and currently serves as the publisher for the Precision Vax information network. Since 1989, Don has launched several digital health companies (drKoop.com, Mirixa, Digital Pharmacists, etc.) focused on medication & vaccine information management. Furthermore, Don also helped launch the first pharmaceutical-sponsored digital advertising network, doctor-to-pharmacy prescription transactions, and filed patents for online clinical trial recruitment and drug interaction databases. And in the mid-1990s, Don worked with the task force to craft the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Don is an ongoing supporter of the pharmacy industry's role in delivering enhanced patient care.
