The U. S. Department of State issued a Level 4: Do Not Travel, Advisory for Israel, The West Bank, and Gaza on March 23, 2022.

Previously, the U.S. CDC had issued similar Level 4 Travel Health Notices related to the escalating COVID-19 pandemic.

'Your risk of contracting COVID-19 and developing severe symptoms may be lower if you are fully vaccinated with a U.S. FDA authorized vaccine.

'Even if you are up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines, you may still be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19.'

The results from a recent Israeli clinical trial show a 4th mRNA vaccination raises antibody levels but provides little extra protection against SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Posted by medRxiv on February 15, 2022, without peer review, the study suggests that current mRNA vaccines hit a “ceiling of immunity” after the third dose.

According to the Israeli data dashboard on March 27, 2022, the percentage of subjects found positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus out of the number of people tested was 23%.

And before planning any international travel, please review the CDC's specific recommendations for vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers, says the CDC.
