Saudi Arabia Approves Ten COVID-19 Vaccines for Hajj 2022 Pilgrims

The Kingdom of Saudia Arabia Ministry of Health announced yesterday the list of the ten approved COVID-19 vaccines and the number of doses required for the pilgrims during Hajj season 1443/2022.

The Saudi Gazette reported on June 4, 2022, the Ministry revealed these COVID-19 vaccine authorizations:

  1. Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) vaccine, two doses.
  2. Moderna (SpikeVax) vaccine, two doses.
  3. Oxford-AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), two doses,
  4. Janssen, one dose,
  5. CovoVax, two doses,
  6. Nuvaxovid (Novavax), two doses,
  7. Sinopharm, two doses,
  8. Sinovac, two doses,
  9. Covaxin, two doses,
  10. Sputnik V, two doses.

Additionally, it is noteworthy that the Ministry of Health has issued a document clarifying the health requirements and instructions related to those coming to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj, Umrah, or seasonal work in the areas of Hajj and Umrah for the season 1443/2022.
