The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration made a total of 851,853 million vials of Bavarian Nordic’s JYNNEOS® (IMVANEX®), an FDA-licensed vaccine, available for free to U.S. jurisdictions to support their local monkeypox response efforts as of October 28, 2022.

California has received the most two-dose JYNNEOS vitals (114,189),

According to the San Francisco Department of Public Health, the local state of emergency due to the monkeypox virus outbreak ended on October 27, 2022.

About 27,000 San Franciscans received the Jynneos vaccine this year.

As a result of the expanded vaccine supply, the U.S. CDC reported the number of doses available and/or administered since May 2022 was 1,012,283 in the 57 reporting U.S. Jurisdictions as of October 25, 2022.

The CDC recently confirmed 28,302 monkeypox/orthopoxvirus cases during the monkeypox virus outbreak in the U.S.
